Personalized M&M's are the New Mint for Weddings

I've been a Bass Player in a local country band for 23 years now and have entertained at many a wedding reception. Every one a little bit diffrernt in terms of decoration, no two alike, but one basic is the same. Every table has to have party favors for each guest. Some have been very simple at a low cost, while others were elegant and spared no expense. The one constant though, is nearly every one contained those little square mints. Almost, it seems, that if there were no little square mints, the Bride and Groom would be divorced within days.

I have just one word for those little square mints:
BORING!!!

Now we played for this reception last summer, where the wedding planner replaced those boring little mints with Personalized M&M's, and they were the talk of the party!

The M&M's matched the colors of the bridal party. The bridesmaids wore light blue gowns and the M&M's favors were a blend of black, white, and blue. Some had the faces of the bride and groom on them, and some had the wedding date. About a handfull were put into these little fabric bags that looked like lace, tied at the top with gold ribbon. Very elegant. One was set out for each guest to take home. However I don't believe any of them made it that far.

Each table had a beautiful flower arrangement as a centerpiece. It was announced to the guests that they should open their party favor bag. One bag at each table contained a special red M&M, and the person with that red M&M could take home the centerpiece of flowers. My drummer had the red M&M for our table. Rats!! He always gets the cool stuff.

The kids had a ball with the party favors. They were going around to each guest and asking them for the M&M's with a face on it. Apparently there was a competition going on to see who could get the most of the faces. The prize, I think, was being able to eat all of the M&M's. Who dosen't like M&M's, right?

Now you could never do that with those boring little square mints. So when you are planning your wedding reception, make it more personal and lively with Personalized M&M's. The New Mint!!
